LinkedIn Tips: Mistakes you don’t want to make in 2019. In this video we’ll talk about the LinkedIn Mistakes you want to avoid in 2019.

Don’t post things that aren’t in the professional realm. Not the place to post pics of your dog, or what you did on Saturday if it has nothing to do with the professional side of life.

Talk about making things that don’t seem professional-professional

2. Don’t be negative or leave rude comments. This isn’t YouTube. You troll someone on LinkedIn and all your connections can see it.

Doesn’t mean you can’t disagree with someone, but do it with kindness and diplomacy.

3. Asking favors of brand new contacts. Just because they connected doesn’t mean they will now answer every question you have. Build that relationship first by making comments, liking and sharing their stuff. You can’t just use linkedin to ask favors. You need to contribute and share and help others as well.

  1. Great videos! Very helpful content and tips. Thank you for sharing. I tried to connect with you on LinkedIn via your LinkedIn url in this videos description but I'm getting a 404 (page not found). I searched for you on LinkedIn and found your company page (and followed it/you) but thought you may want to know that the link for LinkedIn in this videos description is not working. If you want to update it, here is the correct link Keep up the great work!

  2. Has LinkedIn been used to blacklist people, spread fake information to ruin reputations, become the source of misrepresentations, target of hackers with malicious intent? And how do you protect your privacy and your reputation? I have found myself on the receiving end of spam because of someone else's LinkedIn account being hacked.

Also, if you want a varied profile, what do you do about photos/data getting into the wrong hands, such as you're looking for a part time job in a casual environment(ex. cannabis industry) while preparing for a full time job search at a conservative corporate arena (ex. financial investment, government)?
